So, what IS a postpartum doula?​

The postpartum period is one of the most tender and transformative seasons of life. It is a time of healing, adjustment, and becoming—often quieter and more complex than many expect. While pregnancy and birth receive much of the attention, the care and support that follow are just as essential.​
​
A postpartum doula provides emotional, physical, and educational support as families adjust to life with a newborn. This support may look like guidance with newborn care, lactation education, reassurance during moments of uncertainty, or simply having someone present who understands this transition.
​
My role is not to tell you how to parent, but to support you as you find your way—without judgment, pressure, or expectation. I meet families where they are, honoring their values, rhythms, and lived experiences.

Postpartum care is foundational care. It nurtures mental and emotional well-being, builds confidence, and creates a softer landing into life with a newborn. Here, care is thoughtful, individualized, and rooted in trust.
